About This Site
Hi, my name's Sara (like Sarah, only infinitely better).
This is my blog, my diary, and my homage to all things thrifty.
I like vintage everything (minus mouldy cheese), projects, geekery, people watching, markets, books, folk (and other) music, cooking, charity shops, and cycling. Most of all, however, I like making the absolute most out of my student loan.
I've just finished my degree, and I reckon my student years have made me a a bit of an expert in thrifty living. I whole heartedly believe that checking your bank balance needn't be an eyes half shut, firmly sat down, smelling salts on hand, kind of affair. I know from experience that you can do some pretty awesome things, often for less than half the price, as long as you're willing to look around. Hopefully, I can save you the time consuming looking around part and you can get right on to the awesome stuff.
This little blog isn't claiming to be a quick fix to fortune (although I retract that statement and humbly accept all responsibility and accolades if it does somehow turn out to be just that), but it might help you save a few pennies here and there. At the very least it should help you get the most out of those precious pounds.
